SNH Flying Eagles: December 07, 2005 Club Meeting

 

Meeting called to order at 7:38pm by Jay Francis

Approximately 15 members present.

New Members: 

 

Officers Reports

President : Jay Francis :

-         Please read the newsletter

-         This month’s Dave Brown column in M.A. pushing inclusionary measures.  Some ideas include:  a) run an ad in the newspaper for current RC events b) set up a kids flying day.

-         Joe Marrone: Town has website that any non-profit can post notices on.

 

VP : David Beach :

-         Instruction continues.

-         Frozen Fingers Fun Fly on Jan 21st.  Graphic ad in Model Aviation

 

Treasurer : Jim Austin :

-         Treasury was reported.  Contact Jim for details.

-         107 members for 2005.

-         Tonights raffle : Helicopter DVD

-         $15 for SNHFE hats

-         Collecting applications for 2006 membership.

 

Secretary : Dave Majchrzak

-         “Thank You”s have been mailed to all Donators to Toys for Tots, to Sam Walker (sound truck) and to Ben Kendig (RC auction items)

 

Field Marshall: Gary Aubin

-         Absent

 

Safety Officer: Chris Frost 

-         No report

-         Jay Francis: Be careful with planes sliding around on skiis.

-         Dave Majchrzak:  Safety rules changes listed in December Model Aviation.

 

Newsletter Editor: David Beach

-         David Beach has taken over newsletter duties for Dec and Jan.

-         Ryan M. has interest in doing newsletter in 2006

 

 

Old Business

-         Lawn Mower:

o       Dave Lorenzo: Mower is back in action and in container.  Dave L. can store it before spring flood.

-         Banquet

o       Jim Austin: Club banquet in on Feb 20th at the Ground Round.  Price to book room is $75.   Meal charge is $20.30 per person.   Tickets for banquet will be $25 per person to cover room charge and meal charge.

 

 

New Business

-         Frequency Scanner

o       Geno suggested that the club get the new Hobbico frequency monitor to help identify radio interference.

§         Vote was taken on monitor purchase.  Motion passed unanimously.
