AMA Club #2417

Minutes of December 4, 2002 Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:35 by Frank Phillips.

About 20 members were present.

President’s report

Frank talked about a few items noted below under Other Business.

Vice-President’s report

Jim asked for volunteers to help run Eagles Cup events for 2003.  It doesn’t take much time or planning.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasury has about $6636, with 135 members.

Secretary’s Report

Was accepted as printed in newsletter.

Mark told about the SNHRCC Weightlift Challenge next summer.  There was some mild interest in the club sponsoring an entry.

Field Marshall Report

Field is covered in rough snow.  Transmitter impound will not be fixed until spring.  Porta-potty is still upright.

Newsletter Editor

Correction – Maine float fly is Oct 20, not 13.  Dave said newsletter contributions are always appreciated.

Safety Officer

Safety officer was not present.

Other Business

January 19th for the awards banquet at Florence’s restaurant in Merrimack.  Frank is arranging it.  Tickets sold in advance.  Bar at 4:00, meal at around 5:00.

Frozen Fingers Fun Fly date set for January 26th.  Jim Burns running it.

Frank asked for input on any award categories and nominations for this year’s awards.

We’ll try to get more info on the Merrimack Winter Carnival which we will probably participate in.

Dave Beach told us about the club outerwear with logo he is ordering.  He had samples at the meeting.

Frank passed out some additional Award of Excellence patches the club received from the AMA.  These are for anyone who has done some type of service for the club this year.

Frank proposed, and the club agreed, to have the club pay for the meal for the officers at the club banquet in 2003.

Frank reiterated that any offers to help on anything (newsletter articles, website, Eagles Cup, etc.) will be gladly accepted.
