Minutes of February 5th, 2003 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:32 by Jim Burns.
About 23 members were present.
President’s report
Frank was absent tonight.
Vice-President’s report
Jim will give a demo of flying maneuvers at the end of the meeting. Jim asked
for suggestions for meeting activities. Joe suggested a battery seminar and is
trying to arrange an expert. Dave suggested engine maintenance. Other ideas:
radio programming; 4-stroke clinic; scratch building, making your own plans;
aerobatic maneuver flying demonstrations.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasury has about $7004, with 136 members, with about 63 renewals so far. About
half are choosing the email option for the newsletter. Sold 13 gallons of fuel
this year. Raffle prize tonight is a prop balancer.
Secretary’s Report
Was accepted as printed in newsletter.
Field Marshall Report
Field is in good condition. Was slushy on Sunday. Was plowed. Expect it to be
icy this weekend.
Newsletter Editor
Dave apologized for a couple of typos on dates in the newsletter. The meeting
and the 495th auction are actually tonight, not tomorrow. We have a few more
T-shirts and a hat with the club logo on it for sale.
Safety Officer
Safety officer said no new safety incidents.
Other Business
Bob told us about the Sno Buds fund drive for Easter Seals. They are the ones
who have helped us greatly with preparing the field for the Frozen Finger Fun
Fly for several years.
Show and Tell at April 2nd meeting. Bob Terry offered to run the event, with
help from Mark and Jim.
Mark gave a recap of the fun Bean there Done That Eagles Cup event, in which
Mark won with a single bean left in the cup.

Winter Carnival is coming up Feb. 22nd. We will try to do a flying demo at the
lake, and an indoor display of airplanes and flight simulator. Mark Duckworth is
organizing. Dick Zoerb, Jim Austin, Dave Majchrzak, Bill Bootle, and Jim Burns
offered to help out.
