SNH Flying Eagles: January 5, 2004 Club Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm by Bruce Gruenbaum
 

Approximately 26 members present.
 

New Members/ Visitors: none
 

Officers Reports
President : Bruce Gruenbaum
• Container: Resolved. $1000 was paid and container is ours. We are just waiting for receipt from MSG. Shane is willing to meet us at next club meeting.
• New Officers: Nominations this meeting. Mark Devins will not continue as newsletter editor. Bruce G. will not continue as president but is willing to run for newsletter editor. Jay Francis is nominated as president.
• Frozen Fingers Fun Fly on this weekend
 

VP : Dave Beach
• Frozen Fingers Fun Fly is on for Jan 9th. Event is sanctioned. We missed inclusion in Model Aviation magazine. Raffle: OS .46AX, chances for $5. Pilot registration is $5. Stew, bread and coffee available for $5 pilot registration. Events start at 10:30.
• Auction next Tuesday at Litchfield Middle School.
 

Treasurer : Jim Austin
• Treasury reported. 101 members for 04/ 05. 32 for 2005. 99 gallons fuel sold.
• Please renew your club membership now!
• January 30th Club banquet at the Merrimack Ground Round. $20 per head.
 

Secretary : Dave Majchrzak
• We have received a replacement combination lock from Masterlock
• New member packets have been printed and will be available in the container
• CAGS Auction in Bow, NH on Jan 15th. Auction starts at noon. See our website for details.
 

Field Marshall: Gary Aubin
• Field is muddy. Be careful driving in.
 

Safety Officer: Chris Frost
• No safety issues.
• Eagles Cup: Events and CDs are set for 2005.
 

Newsletter Editor : Mark Devins
• Absent
 

Old Business
• Jay Francis: Mr. Scarboro (sp?) is willing to show club his full scale homebuilt WWI airplane. Club decided to wait for warmer month.
• Bruce to call Norma French about Winter Carnival
• $100 donation to the SkyHawks: Deal went through. Society for the Protection of NH Forest now owns the field and flying is allowed.
 

New Business
• Sunday: an American Bald Eagle was seen circling the field
• Gate was left open again.
• Looks like someone has driven on the field
• Program: Monokote repair
• Toby Reeves is new solo pilot.
