SNHFE Meeting Minutes: Jan 7,2004

Meeting Called to order at 7:31 by Frank Phillips.  

Today’s attendance is about 26 members.

New members/ guests: None.

Officer Reports:

President Frank Phillips:  We’ll be processing membership renewals tonight.  SNHRCC will be holding its Weight Lift III competition on July 25th.  CAGS auction on Jan 24th: registration at 10am, auction at noon. SNHRCC Auction Tues Jan 13th.

VP Jim Burns: absent.

Treasurer Jim Austin: Treasury reported. 121 members.  22 renewals so far in 2004. 125 gallons of fuel sold in 2003.  An Exacto set is today’s raffle prize.

Secretary Dave Majchrzak:  No report.

Field Marshall Duane: absent. 

Safety Officer Dave Beach: No injuries.  A plane did venture onto the wrong side of the flight line.  Please remember, safety first.

Newsletter Editor Mark Devins: No report.

Old business

bulletMerrimack High School FIRST program:  Transmitter for FIRST program ready.
bulletBanquet: At the Ground Round Jan 18th from 5 to 9pm.  Italian Buffet at 5:30 for $20 per person.
bulletMotion for club to pay for officer banquet meals brought by Bob LaCroix, seconded by Jerry Leach.  Motion Passed.
bulletFrozen Fingers Fun Fly:  Prizes are nice: G2 Lite, OS AX .46, Norvel 25 BigMig, Hitec Electron Receiver.  Admission is free if your dues are paid, $5 otherwise. Setup at 8am Sunday.

New business:

bulletBruce G. requested that the monthly meeting educational program be restarted.  Frank responded that the program is usually run by the VP and that the program will be revisited by the new administration.
bulletAl Fisher will try to pick up a couple of new how-to RC videos for the club to aid education.
bulletThere has been some interest in an alternate meeting place. Possible options include the Merrimack High School, Adult Senior Center.
bulletBruce G. reported that interference on ch48 took down a plane.  Discussion occurred on possible causes, interference and otherwise: Loose battery, proximity to microwave tower, servo cable
