Officers Reports

President : Jay Francis

- Jay was absent. The following report from Jay was read by David Beach

There has been substantial field use by “unpaid” “non-members”. It is now required that any flier use their current year SNHFE membership card as their pin on the frequency board. If a pin is up on the board without a current SNHFE card, please find the pilot and politely ask to see the current membership card.

Dave Majchrzak reported on the 4th of July event.

Rotary Club is the new Parade administrator.

They are requiring all trailers to be State Registered.

This sinks our plans to use the Currier trailer.

Possible options: 1) Register the Currier trailer. 2) Brian Henderson’s friend may let us use his 3) John Spitz has a small trailer 4) Gary Aubin has a landscaping trailer.

Setup in Dave Majchrzak’s driveway on July 3rd at 6:30pm

David Beach reported on the 4th of July flight demo:

Demo is thought to be at 5pm. Officers will confirm

Electrics, fun fly’s or smaller aircraft are welcome to demonstrate.

Joe Marrone, Jerry Leach, John Spitz, and David Beach will demo.

VP : Dave Beach

“SNHFE business cards”. Members are encouraged to take cards and pass them out

Treasurer : Jim Austin

Absent. No treasury report

Secretary : Dave Majchrzak

Bruce Gruenbaum: Gate was not up on the peg last night. Please support the gate and put it up on the peg when you close it.

Frank Phillips: Frank has emailed about the deteriorating road condition. He will make a visit to the town official.

Dave Beach: Club could use a weed wacker donation .

Safety Officer: Chris Frost

There has been flying outside of the pilots’ station. Please fly from the stations only!

Please call intentions. Taxiing out, taking off, landing etc…

Only 4 planes in the air at one time.

Dave Beach: Do not walk away from plane with the antenna down.

Newsletter Editor : Bruce Gruenbaum

Sorry for late mailings. Michael Gruenbaum will take over newsletter responsibilities.

Old Business

Jackets: Frank Philips. sent “Deb” an email. Frank demo’d a jacket. Fully loaded jacket costs ~$135. Base jacket is ~$56.

David Beach: Blue SNHFE hats are in stock for $15.

Gary Aubin: “New field” across from St. James has been shot down due to logging and our unwillingness to pay for use.

New Business

Frank Phillips will set up top of landfill viewing. Land fill is still in process of being closed, but the road to the top is complete. We would need a state permit to put anything up there.

Joe Marrone: Club once had 3 fields. He called managing even a 2nd field a ‘nightmare’. Recommended 2 sets of officers to keep up with the work.

Joe Marrone introduced a new product, a $46 frequency scanner. It is sold at RC Buyers’ and it scans the RC flight frequencies and lights an LED for each channel that activity is detected on.

David Beach: Its tick season!! Please be careful to check for ticks and be mindful of Lyme Disease symptoms: swelling at bite, fatigue, fever. Also, poison ivy is everywhere around our field.

Jerry Leach: Merrimack FIRST robotics competition is next week if anyone is interested in watching.

David Beach: Float Fly planning continues.

Meeting adjourned at 12:49pm.
