SNHFE Meeting Minutes: Mar 3,2004 Meeting Called to order at 7:33 by Bruce Gruenbaum. Today’s attendance is about 16 members. New members/ guests: None. Officer Reports: President Bruce Gruenbaum: - Winter Carnival was a success although attendence was down. There were several requests for a demo. We’ll aim for a flight demo next year. - From the Officers Mtg: Jim Burns will again be our chief instructor for 2004 VP Dave Beach: - From Bob Sylvester: Show ‘n Tell categories: novice (new 2003 members), ARF any size, Kit: unfinished, Kit: Finished <= .60 sized, Kit: Finished > .60. Treasurer Jim Austin: - Treasury reported. 125 ‘03/’04 members. 74 renewals so far in 2004. 7 gallons of fuel sold so far in 2004. An air Alert is today’s raffle prize. Secretary Dave Majchrzak: - Club AMA charter is due in by March 31st. Will be submitted shortly Field Marshall Bill Bootle: - Mud in road is bad. Safety Officer Chris Frost: No issues reported. Newsletter Editor Mark Devins: - No report. There is a misspelling on our membership app. Old business - None. New business: - Dave Beach: Currently working on club website. Club members will soon be able to upload photos! A new section will be available to browse member photos. - Yahoo Group info: Join the snhflyingeagles Yahoo! Group to receive and post email to other SNHFE members. - Dave Beach: Club website is up for renewal at the end of May. Dave B. proposed changing hosts from Dell to discountasp.net. For roughly the same money, club will have twice the disk space. Discountasp.net may also allow us to move our email group off of Yahoo. - Bruce Gruenbaum: Wasserman park is available for club meetings if we choose to move there. $7.50 / hr. It is plowed and heated. Hill may pose a problem in winter-time. It was decided to keep the meetings at the church. - Guests: Chuck introduced himself. He owns an Avistar and has been flying at an Amherst field 3-4 times per week. - Chris Frost: Eagles Cup will be take off, loop 20x and land - Member brought newsletter from QuietFlyers for those interested. - Dave Beach: Email Dave B. with event dates. Eagles Cup: May = Bob Terry (Bean There Done That), June = Dave Majchrzak (Time Trials), July contest on the 11th. - Dave Beach: Offered to help facilitate a quantity purchase of Quickie 500 (low budget racing class) aircraft.
