Minutes accepted as printed in February newsletter.

Field Marshall: Duane was absent. Jim Burns mentioned the significant amount of mud in the pits.  Frank told of the clubs intention to lock the gate to the pits during very muddy days to prevent further damage to the pits.

No vandalism recently.  Replacing frequency impound in the spring

Safety: Dave Beach was absent. Frank requested that if children come to the field… please don’t allow them to play w/ frequency control pins. There as been an increased amount of flying behind flight-line which should be stopped.

Newsletter Editor: only 36 newsletters mailed out w/ stamps, the rest are emailed.  Frank – personal email now sent to inform of newsletter availability, no longer through Yahoo email blast.  Officers now have the ability to send to the club email list.

 From the floor:

Member suggested that the District 1 group is a good source of info for flea markets, events etc..

 Old business:

The winter carnival at Wasserman park was a success despite the weather.  Mark Duckworth was able to fly an electric plane for a demo.  G2 Simulator was a big hit with the kids.  Thanks to all who volunteered their time.

 New business:

·          SNHFE Club Auction will be held on April 12th from 8 to noon.

·          SNHFE Show and Tell at April meeting.

·          Al Fisher donated some fuel tank foam and utility bottles

·          Field: A second lock will be placed on the field gate…No parking will be allowed in the pit while muddy.  Looking to repair pit this spring .May move the flight stations and/or container further north.  Ground hogs may have to find new home. Some budget has been designated to pit repair.  Big dip in middle of runway will not be addressed this year.  If pit area gets repaired (growing grass), moving container may provide additional parking.  Several ideas for pit repair were submitted:

Paving the pit… or just gravel the parking area and grow grass for airplane pit.

Quinpack (stone dust) “eventually turns very hard”. Water will drain through it. Al Fischer knows a guy that will quote stone dust.

Club would draw up a pit repair proposal once finalized and publish plans in newsletter.

·          Frank - Head instructor for ’03 is Jim Burns again.

·          Club will work with the town of Merrimack to try to get a second field at the dump.
