Minutes of March 6, 2002 Meeting The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Frank Phillips. Vice-President's report Andy Farkas should be here tonight to tell us how to build a pulse trickler. The airplane building project is almost done, covering starts soon. Treasurer's Report Treasury has about $7120, with about 137 members, but about 95 have paid for 2002 so far. Raffle tonight is a Z-bend tool. Field Marshall Report Field is good, parking lot is very muddy, cars are getting stuck. Newsletter Editor All contributions are welcome. Send in events for the calendar, Dave will put it on the site and in the newsletter. Club received $50 for a newspaper writeup on Toys for Tots. Safety Officer Mark Versprille suggested any new pilot with a new plane should call one of the instructors to get the plane checked out ahead of time before flying. Mark Versprille and Bob Sylvester offered to check out new planes. Other Business Mark Duckworth gave a brief report on the Egg Drop last week. More details in next month's newsletter. Frank asked for a volunteer to run the show and tell at next meeting. There was some discussion, but no conclusion, about categories for judging. Nobody volunteered. Field cleanup is 8:00 am on April 7th. Bring rakes, shovels, weed whackers, chain saws, etc. Club flea market information is in a flyer in the last newsletter. Mark Versprille wants to add a third combat event this year, in the spring, using National Sport Combat Club rules. Several planes, not just two, fly against each other. The club agreed to do this.
