Minutes of May 1, 2002 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 by Frank Phillips. About 20 members and one guest were present. President’s report Frank had some new red caps for instructors who didn’t have them yet.
There are some new member packets in the container at the field, with
applications, rules, safety checklist, etc. Frank presented Bob Spear with a plaque for Outstanding Service Award for
2001. Frank is still pursuing a bulk fuel purchase at a discount. Vice-President’s report Jim is looking for volunteers to run Eagles Cup events. Treasurer’s Report Treasury has about $7385, with about 120 members paid up.
Already sold 46 gallons of fuel this year. Field Marshall Report Field is good. Pit area needs
some grass. Please don’t drive
down in the pit area. Stay close to
the trees and back into a parking spot. Not
much damage at the field lately. Some
fertilizer is on the field. Duane
might be able to get a free grill for the club. Newsletter Editor Dave was not present. Safety Officer Mark was not present. Other Business The lawnmower is still being repaired. Al
said it should be back at the field in good condition this week. Flea market didn’t have as much stuff to sell as usual, but was still
successful. June, July, and August, the club meeting is at the field at around noon on
the first Sunday of the month. Bob Spear has been organizing things for the Greenfield Float Fly in
September. Sanctions, permits,
insurance, caterer are all arranged. Bob
needs volunteers to help work at the event. A new member thanked Bob Sylvester for all the work he did checking out his
new plane and making it airworthy. The club now has a JR buddy box. RC Buyers is having a big sale on Sat. June 1st, starting at 9:00. The meeting adjourned at 8:15, for the raffle (engine test stand) and more
