President: Frank Phillips: Received call from “Virginia” of the Merrimack Heritage Commission. She will advocate for us to the town to help repair the sign and maintain the road. Dobrysh-Patterson sign is now up.

Secretary: Dave Majchrzak: Thanks to Ginny Chrisenson for the great float fly photo CD. Today’s raffle prize is a GP slot machine. Central Mass R/C Auction in Oxford, MA on Nov 23. Middleboro R/C club is sponsoring a meet and greet with Dave Patrick on Oct 12^th.

Field Marshall: Duane was absent.

Safety: Dave Beach: No incidents.

From the floor:

· Steve Ferrency: Info on frequency interference. Scanner was brought to the field. Found 2 pagers on Ch21 primary, Ch22 not as bad. Some other problems at Ch46 & Ch45. R7000 equipment used. Frank Bove was having trouble with Ch49. No interference found on Ch49 that day. Will take scanner to hill (landing area) and remeasure.

· Field sign is back up.

· Person found flying without pin up.

· Bob LaCroix is receiving newsletters late. Newsletter was sent out late this month.

· A NH Radio Station should be bringing sound to the Toys for Tots.

· Bob L. : Ron “Catchy” offered to bring DARE care down

· Dave B.: Oct gremlin contest is looking for a new venue…

· Mark D.: FlyRC magazine is only $10 / year. Free full sized plan.

· Red hats are needed for 3 new instructors.

Old business

	Arthur called 5 vendors called about flattening the field. One meeting is setup w/ O’Keefe. Same guy who put the gate up.
	Newsletter correction. Eagle’s Cup standings needed to be corrected.
	Last months meeting minutes accepted as printed.
	Thanks to Bob Spear for a successful 7^th year running the Float Fly!
	Lawn mower was lubed by Bill Bootle. It works now! Thanks Bill!

New business:

Oct 4^th. Boy Scout Jamboree in Laconia. Jerry, Mark, Bob, Mike volunteered to help. 9am to 4pm. It is AMA sanctioned and has insurance. Frank P is working on getting his CD status.

Toys for Tots. Sunday Oct 19^th. Bring an unwrapped toy. One day event. Setup on Saturday. Be sure to come up to help!! Our ads have shown up in Merrimack Journal.

Possible death of JR buddy box. We’ll try to get it repaired and find the other JR buddy box.

We need officers! New President, VP, Field Marshall will be elected in Feb ’04!

New members are flying without membership because they are waiting for October to renew for the next year. Two membership votes were taken:

	The new system would be monthly pro-rated just for new members as long as they pay for the next year in advance. ß Motion defeated.
	Motion to simply pro-rate the dues on a monthly basis for new members only. ß Motion passed.
