1999 Eagles Cup Challenge

The Eagles Cup Challenge is a series of 10 fun fly events, one held each month. The goal is to get pilots out flying more and to have fun. By having only one event flown during the day, there is less disruption in everyone's flying. It also tests the pilots skill in various conditions as the weather here in New England is never the same 2 days in a row!!
  1. There are 2 classes for ALL events, OPEN and STD.

  2. Participants can fly STD class planes in OPEN class but OPEN class planes cannot be flown in STD class.

  3. Final Scores are tallied from the best "8 out of 10" events. If you fly in all 10 events, throw out your 2 lowest scores for your final score in the challenge. Score totals to date for both classes will be published each month in the newsletter so you will know your standing and score.
Here is the list of events for each month along with the CD in charge. Rules for each event will be posted in the newsletter for the month they are flown.

Please watch the newsletter for last minute changes or call the CD. Expected dates are shown in the table below, 11am till 2pm unless otherwise noted. If the weather is bad, call the CD or Mark Duckworth in the morning to find out if the event is still on. If it's extremely windy, or heavy rain or snow, we will reschedule for the following Sunday.
